More so than any Repris offering, this wine reveals Moon Mountain Vineyard’s potential for the unexpected – and the revelatory. French for “blend,” the word “mélange” represents a harmony of grape varieties. Mélange Blanc combines four grapes that are obscure to many California wine drinkers, though they are staples in France’s Southern Rhône Valley. This compelling quartet of Viognier, Marsanne, Roussanne and Grenache Blanc produces exotic aromatics and a rich mouthfeel framed by precise acidity and alluring minerality indicative of the rocky volcanic soil where it thrives.
