The 2021 vintage has produced a wine of remarkable intensity and structure that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with our estate Cabernet Sauvignon. This commanding Merlot showcases the distinctive character of our high-elevation site, where organic farming practices and volcanic soils combine to create a wine of both power and precision. While exhibiting Merlot’s characteristic plush texture and approachability, this bottling reaches beyond conventional expectations. The addition of a small amount of Malbec amplifies its natural complexity, while extended aging in French oak provides a sophisticated framework for the intense mountain fruit.
