Our SaintÉmilion-inspired Right Bank reveals the potential of the time-tested combination of Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Texturally these grapes enhance one another quite well, which is why they are a classic tandem in the vineyards along the eastern banks of the Gironde River in Bordeaux. Both varieties amassed considerable richness in 2018, affording us the luxury of crafting a wine of opulence and depth. The tannins are formidable but velvety and integrated, a common theme for one of our most celebrated offerings.
