The parent of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc is integral to the story of Moon Mountain Vineyard. It features prominently in our Left Bank, Right Bank and Momtazee blends, and here it shines on its own. Our Cabernet Franc finds firm footing at the top of Moon Mountain Vineyard, where it enjoys maximum sunshine before evening ocean breezes arrive to maintain its structure. With the 2018 vintage we added a touch of Petit Verdot – doing so lengthens the wine’s finish, softens its tannins and intensifies Cabernet Franc’s savory character and natural structure.
