With each release of Left Bank we add a new chapter to the legacy of Moon Mountain Vineyard. In 2017 it was the story of our two-decade commitment to organic farming. A September heat wave saw temperatures of 110 degrees for several days across California. Here, accumulated organic material beneath the surface acts as a sponge, holding rainfall and nutrients in place so the vines can access them during periods of stress. When our Left Bank fruit was harvested the Cabernet Sauvignon had not missed a beat, boasting explosive flavors and precise tannins, while our Cabernet Franc offered the savory structure that defines this blend.
