The secret to its stride is the unique aspect and altitude of our Dynamite and Feather vineyard blocks. High atop Moon Mountain Vineyard, these blocks overlook Sonoma Valley nearly 2,000 feet below. Here the vines soak in abundant afternoon sunshine before cool Pacific Ocean breezes move in at dusk, helping preserve acidity in the finished wine. The tannins are formidable but velvety and integrated, a common theme for this celebrated vintage.
