Mélange Rouge 

Our inaugural Rhôné-inspired blend of Mourv ̄dre, Grenache and Syrah is a respectful nod to the celebrated bottlings of Château de Beaucastel. Even within Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where blending is prevalent, Mourv ̄dre-based wines are rare and highly prized. On Moon Mountain Vineyard, Mourv ̄dre takes on a savory and dense character, with aromas of root beer and sarsaparilla. As in the Rhôné, Grenache is Mourv ̄dre’s natural counterpoint, highlighted by bright, rich fruit and acidity. A finishing touch of Syrah binds them together. The resulting blend is complex and compelling, more so than the individual components would be on their own.
