Estate
Repris is an estate winery located on 435 acres at the historic Moon Mountain Vineyard overlooking Sonoma Valley. Our mission is to be faithful stewards of Moon Mountain Vineyard and to compose exceptional wines of place and purpose, representing the distinctiveness and charm of this special place.
Moon Mountain Vineyard encompasses roughly 70 acres of vines, planted to Bordeaux and Rhône varieties. Chiseled into the steep, rugged slopes of the Mayacamas Mountains high above the town of Sonoma, our estate vineyard is defined by its severity.
At Repris we make every effort to preserve Moon Mountain Vineyard’s unique terroir by employing minimalist winemaking techniques to achieve a balancing act of power, finesse and restraint. Our distinctive redwood winery, an iconic symbol of Repris, was deliberately built amidst the vineyard blocks, and our 18,000 square feet of barrel aging caves were carved deep into the mountain’s ancient rock only steps away. The first caves created in Sonoma after Prohibition, their direct proximity to the vineyards and winery was a concerted effort to foster the gentlest handling of the grapes from harvest to barrel aging and bottling.
Moon Mountain Vineyard has been farmed organically since 1997 by acclaimed viticulturist Phil Coturri, and secured its CCOF certification in January 2002. As such, Moon Mountain Vineyard stands as a leader in organic wine grape farming going back more than 25 years.
