Syrah vines adapt to the elements, leading to finished wines with diverse characteristics. In this instance, volcanic soils and hillside exposure have combined in a compelling way. Co-fermented with fragrant Viognier, this Côte-Rôtie style Syrah exudes a deep violet color. Aromas of anise, blackberry and cranberry balance nicely with hints of bacon fat and savory spices on the nose.

In the mouth the wine offers up an appealing layer of blueberry. Soft tannins and firm acidity construct a versatile wine that can pair with roasts and barbeque or simply be enjoyed on its own in your favorite chair.
