Mourvèdre 


Planted only in small quantities in California, it is rare to find a wine produced predominantly from Mourv ̄dre. To reach its full potential, Mourv ̄dre requires ideal growing conditions like those in the mountains above Sonoma. The nose offers up so many aromas it is nearly overwhelming. Plum, raspberry and blackberry combine with peppercorn and hints of wild game. On the palate full-bodied structure and bright acidity mingle with fresh, ripe strawberries. Pair this expressive wine with skirt steak or smoky barbecue.
