Cabernet Sauvignon

We were able to dodge a late torrential rain – five inches in 36 hours – that proved disastrous for so many in 2009. Not us. This wine demonstrates what hillside structure and abundant fruit, earth and acidity can do. Berries, cassis, anise and camphor aromas rise to greet your nose. When drawn in deeper, violets and tobacco are revealed. Telltale sour cherry fruit, dark and wild, envelops the tongue. Sturdy tannins deliver the wine’s core to the center of your tongue. Cherry cola on the finish with a trace of smokiness.
