Bordeaux Blend

This wine doesn’t knock your socks off. Instead, it rolls them down gently, revealing itself ever so slowly. The nose is subdued at first. There is a whiff of cocoa powder and a suggestion of black cherry. On your tongue, dark fruits and dark chocolate dance the merengue, holding each other close. Notes of anise, nutmeg, clove and peppercorn emerge – a level of complexity owed in part to the addition of a splash of Cabernet Franc. The tannins are soft and dusty. The finish, elegant and refined. This is a very accessible wine, enjoyable now and in the years to come.
